Technical diving Instructor

The first Technical Instructor level is the Advanced Nitrox Instructor level which is prerequisite not only for the Technical Instructor ratings but the Cave, Wreck and CCR Rebreather Instructor ratings.

Advanced Nitrox Instructor - Advanced Recreational Trimix Instructor

This Training is one of the first levels of being a technical Instructor, or as some say its the highest end of recreational diving instruction. Advanced Nitrox Instructors - Advanced Recreational Trimix Instructors train divers to be divers in decompression diving and have the important job of introducing "technical" diving techniques to divers who do not have them. At this level of training you will be introducing new techniques to divers that they may have never seen such as stage bottle and decompression and double tanks. The difference between the Advanced Nitrox Instructor and Advanced Recreational Trimix Instructor rating is that in the first you use air or eanx as bottom gas and in the second you use a helium based trimix blend. It makes a big difference when diving below 100 feet - 30 meters.

Instructors at this level need to be academically solid and perfect both underwater and in the surface. We have listed some of the requirements and limits here but you will need to email us for more information and to schedule your training for Advanced Nitrox Instructor - Advanced Recreational Trimix Instructor.

This is planned as a 8 day training program with academic presentations, physical watermanship testing, confined water training, and open water diving if you are a DiveMaster. If you are a Instructor from another agency and want to cross over to PSAI this is the first level. The cross over takes 4 days to complete.

NOTE: At this level of training divers must own all of their own equipment and texts.
